Transformation rarely happens overnight. It happens in the small and quiet decisions you make when no one is watching.

Transform Tuesday Growth Habits Renewing Your Mind

There is an old version of you that is very comfortable. She knows all the habits, the patterns, the ways of thinking that have carried you this far. And she does not always welcome change without a little resistance. But here is what God says about that old version. She was never meant to be the final one.

Romans 12:2 does not just invite us to grow. It calls us to be transformed. And it tells us exactly how. Not by trying harder or willing ourselves into different behavior, but by the renewing of our minds. By letting God change the way we think so that our lives begin to reflect something new.

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is, His good, pleasing and perfect will."

Romans 12:2  ·  NIV

Scripture quoted from the New International Version (NIV).

Transformation is not one dramatic moment. It is the accumulation of small and faithful choices made day after day. It is choosing the kind word when you want to say the sharp one. It is opening the Word when you would rather scroll. It is surrendering the worry instead of rehearsing it. Small steps, taken consistently, become a life you could not have built on your own.

You do not have to have it all figured out to begin. You just have to be willing. God does the transforming. You simply have to show up open to it.

What area of your life is God asking you to let Him into this week? Not to fix it perfectly, but to begin. One small and faithful step toward the woman He is calling you to become.

Small steps taken faithfully become a life you could not have built on your own.

This week's journal prompts
  • What old habit or pattern of thinking is God asking me to surrender this week?
  • What is one small step I can take today toward the woman God is calling me to become?
  • Where have I been waiting to be ready instead of simply beginning?
A Prayer for Today

Lord, I want to grow. I want to become more like You in the way I think, the way I speak, and the way I live. Help me to let go of what no longer belongs in my life and trust You with who I am becoming. Renew my mind today. I am open. Amen.

With love and grace,
Honeycomb & Heart
