Love Someone Today
Love Someone Today
You live it Saturday. You share it Sunday. Today is for turning your faith outward and letting someone feel the love of God through you.
All week long we have been doing the inward work. Setting intentions, renewing our minds, reading the Word, practicing gratitude, releasing what we were carrying. And all of that matters deeply. But faith that stays entirely inward eventually grows stagnant. It needs somewhere to go. It needs a hand to hold, a door to open, a person to see.
Saturday is that somewhere. Today we take what God has been building in us all week and we pour a little of it out on someone else.
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many."
Mark 10:45 · NIVScripture quoted from the New International Version (NIV).
Serving does not have to be grand or organized or planned weeks in advance. Most of the time the most meaningful acts of service are the ones that happen in the ordinary moments of an ordinary Saturday. A text. A coffee. A kind word to a stranger. The willingness to notice someone who needed to feel seen and to do something about it.
Here are some simple ways to serve someone today:
Serve someone today without expecting anything back. Then tomorrow, come back and share how it felt.
Lord, open my eyes today to the person right in front of me who needs to feel Your love. Give me the courage to do something about it, even something small. Let my hands be an extension of Yours today. Amen.
With love and grace,
